M.R.F.A. are very proud to announce that we will be launching a girls only Development Group on the 25th February 2016!

The reason for this is simple: we want more girls on the pitch!  With the success of the Women’s Football in England, M.R.F.A. are keen to get the female players of today on the field and developing their skills.

Having a girls only group allows players to train and learn without feeling pressured and intimidated by what’s going on around them.  It will help them gain confidence within themselves and their ability, while they learn and develop at their own pace.

It goes without saying that football is the most popular female sport in England at the moment, and we have made one of our main targets for 2016 (and New Year’s resolutions if you will) getting female players in the area, with a passion for learning and playing football, more involved and a part of our team.

In Essex, we have noticed the particular demand for girls football and their coaching needs.  We want all aspiring players to receive the best coaching possible and we believe everyone should be given the opportunity to achieve their goal.  Joining our Girls Development Group will give players the stepping-stones they need to be in professional football.

Remember, stepping-stones are important!  M.R.F.A. guide and support our players through their entire football development.  Our Success Stories page highlights some of our player’s who have been signed by pro-clubs and we’re hopeful that, by opening a girls only group, it will add some female players’ names to the list!

Our Girls Development Group is for players aged between 5-16 and of all abilities.  It will take place every Thursday from 5pm at Tabor High School, Braintree.
