Scholarship Programme with HRS in 2016
M.R.F.A. are pleased to announce that we will be starting our first ever scholarship programme in September 2016. The programme is linked together with Helena Romanes School & Sixth Form Centre (HRS Sixth Form), and offers students who have just come out of school with their GCSEs the chance to combine education and full-time football at A-level and BTEC level.
The programme will run over the course of 2 years at HRS Sixth Form. During that time, scholars will be entered into Essex College under 19’s league along with National School Cup.
Scholars will be trained by M.R.F.A.’s coaches 4 days a week and will receive everything a modern day professional player would, i.e. use of the latest and best training equipment, full bespoke Nike training kit, individual fitness plans and access to nutritionists and physiotherapists.
At the end of the programme, scholars will finish the programme with a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport, Coaching & Fitness.
M.R.F.A.’s collaboration with HRS Sixth Form will open doors for students who may be interested in professional/semi-professional football coaching, applying into university and even working at M.R.F.A.
With our connections across the footballing industry, M.R.F.A. will always do the best we can to provide plenty of opportunities, and students will be given advice, guidance and support from M.R.F.A. throughout the 2 year programme.
